Elementary Summer Schedule Announced

   With the regular school year now drawn to a close, school officials announce the schedule for Summer School for local elementary school youngsters.

   The classes, offered free of charge through the Lawrence County School System, will be held daily at Ingram Sowell Elementary School.

   Registration for the summer session will be held at the school on Monday, June 4 between the hours of 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, will be the first day of classes, with classes ending on Wednesday June 27. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28.

   For the convenience of parents, the classes will be offered in both and morning and evening session. Students may attend either during the 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. session, or between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. The course will focus on reading, language and math skills.
